WTF?.....Volume 4

Evan Shapiro, the Executive Vice President and General Manager of IFC TV announced the acquisition by IFC of the exclusive rights to the 10 new episodes of R. Kelly's "Trapped in the Closet" during the network's panel at the television critics summer press tour.

From Invisible Woman: I won't even begin to say how I feel about R. Kelly--don't get me started on that one. But the Independent Film Channel has slowly, but surely, lost it's credibility with me over the past couple of years, and this just seals it. I know people need to generate revenue and ratings, but what genius at IFC thought that this was a good idea?

Ummmm...I'm still messed up on the quote, "the 10 NEW episodes"...you mean to tell me there is more of this crap floating around waiting to be unleashed on the poor unsuspecting public? SMH at this fool & IFC

Whoa- IFC has really, really hit the crapper, heh? The same channel that introduced me to Sidewalks of New York and Ghost World is puling this? That's a total BET move.

I loved Ghost World! Obviously, those days are waaaay over. BET is probably mad they couldn't snatch it up first!

WTF?????
IFC wants R. Kelly's 'Trapped in the closet' installments?

I think this world did tip off its axis overnight. It's been crazier and crazier from 2003- to present, in a 'making NO sense' kind of way...

Now this.
At least we now know for sure who owns IFC. We can at least relinquish the illusion that it's about the art for their network...

@ PZ Agreed.
