Wow, Carl Franklin is on a roll. From Black Talent News:
Director Carl Franklin ("Devil in a Blue Dress," "Out of Time") has been tapped to helm New Line Cinema's "Snitch," according to the Hollywood Reporter. "Snitch," a thriller based on true events detailed in a PBS "Frontline" documentary, tells the story of a father, whose son faces 30 years in prison after being set up in a drug deal. The father goes undercover in the drug world to clear his son's name.
From I.W.: I don't know who has been cast, if anyone, but it sounds really interesting to me, much better than those standard "Stand and Deliver" and foolio black movies we've been getting lately. Carl is starting to be the go-to guy for grown and sexy type Black Hollywood stuff.

I liked both movies, hope this one is good too.
i really like carl franklin's work. even when he was thelma's boyfriend on good times lol. seriously though, he made a short film called punk that i saw in 1993 or so and even that was awesome. one false move was good too. in a perfect world, he'd get more credit.
People do love Punk, but I've never seen it. One False Move was different, but what happened to Cynda Williams? She might be my next milk carton alert, haha
lol. she'd be a good candidate. i saw the video for harlem blues the other day, her song from mo betta blues and well, wow...
sounds like an interesting one. Can't wait for this to come out.
