If You Can't Direct One Drug Dealer Film, Find Another

This was a man on a mission. From AOL:

If one gangster film was let go from his hands, another was dropped off. Before Ridley Scott directed "American Gangster" which stars Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe, Antoine Fuqua was attached to do the film, but left the project over creative differences with the producer, Brian Grazer. He has since moved on having directed 'Shooter' with Mark Walhberg earlier this year.

Now, he will get the chance to direct a gangster film, but this one is more famous that Frank Lucas. According to Variety, Fuqua will direct "Escobar," a biopic about the notorious Colombian cocaine trafficker Pablo Escobar that aspires to be the first of two rival pics on the subject to make it into production.

From I.W.: Uhh, is there really nothing else to talk about on film in Hollywood these days?

I would not be surprised if HBO releases Medellin as one of their films. They even made a trailor for it. lol
