Hello There....

I know my posting is beyond tired lately, but I'm getting there. It isn't really my new job that is responsible for the spotty posting (thankfully I'm working with a bunch of hilarious dudes), but strictly based on the fact that Madame Invisible is feeling a tad lazy these days. Blame it on the wonderful weather and the fact that I am close to the beach.

There are a lot of upcoming projects that I want to talk about tho, unfortunately I can't get to them until tonight. Moving kinda slow this morning--went to see "The Happening" last night, which, as you've probably heard by now, is not happening at all (seriously, it blows hard). Until tonight, here is a clip of Morgan Freeman with a gold toof and nappy perm, playing a pimp in "Street Smart", a film I have talked about a couple times on this blog. I love this film, and I love him in it. Christopher Reeve is dead weight, and Anna Marie Horsford plays his bottom bitch (as they say). Check it; this ain't no Hollywood pimpin'.

Thanks to reader Earlene who sent me this link.

LOL... no respect for the dead. Funny stuff..

Yeah, I saw The Happening. I cannot believe it was that uninteresting. Some say Mark W was good but I found him to be flat. Not to mention his wife. What was up with her aloof persona anyway?

Oh, My, God. I was just waiting for you to say you saw that movie. Both my friend and I were so pissed and confused at the same time. And I agree with you Urban Thought, at times the acting was so airheaded and corny, I thought that maybe the director wasn't on the set.

Ooh, that's a bad wig for Anna...

Slacker ;o)

I'm kidding... I'm kidding!

As for The Happening... I called it "the continuing de-evolution of M. Night Shyamalan as a filmmaker." He's been walking a very tight rope since... well... since The Sixth Sense. It's been a gradual slippin' and slidin' for him since then. He's actually a good director... just not the best writer/storyteller, IMHO. It's time he directed a script written by someone else, and I believe he realizes this, since his next film is based on already written source material. We'll see... until then, the fan-bashing will continue :o)

I wrote in a review for this that I am shocked at how Mknight can take a good if not great actor and suck all the life out them
I think his wife is played by Zooey Deschenel and they are AWFUL together, you have a better time watching pb and j merge than to watch them in that movie, and john l. just wanted a check. The film itself is bad and the script is awful

@Beckie and UT: you guys are the naughty ones! I didn't even think of that when I wrote it...for shame! lol :-)

@Wanda and UT---I've never in my life thought Mark was a good actor, but compared to the wife he is DeNiro! Just bad, boring acting all around...

@Ms. M: and not her first or last one by far!

@obenson: it's ok, that really is a fair assessment :-) As far as M. Night, tho folks hated it, I did like the Village, and the ones before it. He completely lost me with Lady In The Water (PU!) and I might never return, even if he's directing someone else's material, after this debacle. If I had paid to see it, I would have had to hunt him down and cut him!

@felicity: Hi there....welcome. Like your blog :-) I hope you get to see this film--Morgan really brang it in his performance.

@fresh and fab and jacqueline: Right?

@Rachel: hey there :-) I'm going to head over and read your review...but you're right, Mark and the wife were terrible---they seemed like they barely knew each other, much less being married.

@clnmike: please do! I think you'll love it

@wonderman: it makes me want to see it again myself

Hey there!

Is this a photo of the actress and her dog? Or is it a tranny who is a celebrity impersonator?? I am not cracking on anybody...I was just wondering... it doesn't really LOOK like how I remembered her on tv...

I adore Morgan Freeman...he played his role too well. The movie is another terrible view of African American people.
