I been askin' bout Randy since MJ died. WTF is he??? He's probably found the good common sense that apparently only he and Janet have and sat his behind down somewhere. That's where he is. They actin' real brand new lately.
I just discovered your blog. Love your blog and your topics. I, too, am a "black cinema" buff. I'm currently in graduate school, so I haven't been much of a devotee lately.
I was browsing and I had to comment on a few things.
First,I think Randy expressed the sentiment that he did not want to be a part of this. I think this was suppose to be some kind of lead in to their "Family Reunion" tour. This was before MJ had died. I don't know if they are still going ahead with the tour.
Second, I don't know why everyone is giving Janet a pass as if she hasn't taken advantage of the publicity surrounding MJ's death. We haven't heard from her in years and now she has released her own Number Ones album. She has a new album coming out and a book deal. She performed on the MTV awards and the American Music Awards. I think this is more than a coincidence.
Third and lastly, someone tell me why in the hell are the Kardasians famous? What is their claim to fame besides looking like streetwalkers. Do they really have a fan base?
Even if MJ was still alive, I wouldn't be watching the reality show featuring the Jacksons. I am just not that interested in other peoples lives.
I watched the Kardasians for the first time ever on Sunday. Phuleeze give me a break! This is a household that is crying out for therapy and medication!
I don't think I will be watching the Jacksons, and I know I won't be watching the Kardasians. I am still trying to figure out the allure of that show.

ah ms. woo so many people want in on other people's lives. i like the shows with a purpose like where people make stuff.

you know what - i will have to agree. i always believed that in order to be on TV and bring something to the airwaves, there had to first be a point. yes? no?
Randy is smart and knows better than to be dealing with the shenanigans.
I saw the promo for the new season of that fam that I could care less about. They said she was a good sport for taking the pic. They just should have done headshots. They'll all laugh it this later.

i'm glad randy didn't want to be a part of this travesty...all it makes me think of is how much i miss michael's presence. and damn i am so glad i am not the only one who sees that in janet. i know she loved her brother, but i find her and her whole "act" phony and extremely manipulative. o comment on the kardashians.
