lol. amen, sis. i mean, he has an oscar but seems to say no to nothing. i really thought his career would be different. he was good in boyz and jerry maguire but the rest, for me, is spotty.

I can't stand this man. I never liked him, even when I first saw him in Boyz In The Hood. It's something about his face. I actually think his brother is a better actor than him. That's really sad. At least he picks better movies than him.

@af & dc: Thanks guys @hottnikz-he does have an interesting face, to say the least....haha

hahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is soooo much the truth!!! I agree with Hottnikz, his brother is a better actor, to me at least, except in baby boy... pure fuckery!!

He's always so Uncle Tom-ish somehow.

@ Thembi "Shadowboxer" was the first film that I didn't think of him that way since "Boys N' The Hood".

@ sincere...see you're not a big fan of Baby Boy...there was supposed to be a sequel, I don't know what happened.

Unknown said...

wasn't baby boy supposed to be like a sequel to boyz n the hood or something like that? either way it left something to be desired...

Invisible Woman said...

@sincere: I don't believe Baby Boy was a sequel...but Baby Boy 2 is pretty unnecessary, especially after that horrible movie with him and Meagan Goode...I think it was "Waist Deep" (sorry to Kasi Lemmons' husband, who directed it)

i'm late to the follow up comments but kasi lemmons' husband (vondie curtis hall?) gave us glitter, too. which is worse than waist deep. i'm sad to say i watched both :(

JJ: yeah, me too.....he seems like a great guy, I don't know why he chooses the scripts he does, or many his choices are extremely limited. Maybe he should just concentrate on acting; he's always pretty dignified...
