Wah? I don't see that analogy at all. I posted a clip for Killer of Sheep about a month back...if there were justice in the world that would be a Black Hollywood classic.

I really like Ghost Dog and have always gotten a reaction from other people that is completely polar. Either they are big fans or completely hated it without any room in between.

There's a lot more of RZA in the movie than just the score. Felt like he and Jarmusch played well of one another.

I can see that (polar reaction). I actually expected to hate it walking in...RZA was kinda forgettable to me except for the score in this one, and I love him.

What I felt was missing was an antagonist with which Ghost Dog could use the skills from this scene. I liked aspects of the film, but I felt that there could have been more in terms of his personal feelings about the code that he lived by, as well as the use of his skills.

I think part of what his philosophy was was to follow the laws blindly without question, because he had absolutley nothing else in his life whatsoever, and it gave him purpose (just my interpretation).

I do wish he would have used more of those skills too, but we always have the Rush Hour movies for that haha

I see what you mean about the philosophy. I do remember at the end of the movie he does explain something of his feelings on it. What I was hoping was going to happen was that the head Mafia guy who understood what was going on would someone have some skills and present a challenge to Ghost Dog. I do like the scene where the pigeon flies into the mafia restaurant, and they are trying to understand the message. Then the head guy says, It is poetry. The poetry of war. I think that is what he said.
