She's a wonderful actress! I loved her in Lackawanna as well. That was an excellent production.
She is great. I wish I saw her in more movies and independent project. I also enjoy seeing her on her regular gig, Law & Order.

Love this woman! I'm a long time fan. It would be nice to see more of her. But Ms. Merkerson look like she don't play, and that probably doesn't play well in Hollywood.
My first exposure to Miss M was from "Lackawanna Blues". I cry every time I watch it, even though I know what happens and how it ends. She's definitely underrated...
i love her. period. she rocks it on law and order, too. she delivers her five or six lines and collects the checks! go, sis!
@Shelia: sad, but probably true @Tayo: she made me cry in Black Snake Moan; an otherwise ridiculous movie...she is 100% woman--and deserves what jj says are her benefits (parlay girl!)
