This is totally and completely unrelated to Black Cinema (yall know I do that sometimes)--but I just had to post this. I saw this on Sistah CapCity's blog.....oh my goodness....when R&B could be playful! And who knew Joe Tex had skills like that? (a little after the 2 minute mark)
If this song were made today, the BBW's would be picketing outside of his record label, lol :-)

He was Prince-like with that microphone thingy too!
I can't stop laughing, hold on...
This song is just politically incorrect on so many levels.
IW, that hook brought back memories. (Yeah, I remember all that disco stuff.)
Memories,Memories,Memories. I remember my great uncles playing this track at the Friday night fish fry the use to throw in the country during the summer when we would go visit them.
Lord watching drunk old & middle age folks dance is a sight that the mind does not forget. It was all love though & yes no matter who you are there is at least one uncle or great uncle who likes to drink a bit much.
LOL thanks for the flashback!!
Villager-when I see certain old school footage, this one Jimi Hendrix, some James Brown or Sly Stone, I say sometimes "Prince does that, and just like that!" sometimes I think his theatrics are not very original, or maybe it's a homage, I dunno.
@mgv: that's exactly my reaction when I saw this, lol
@ubm: I know right? I know it too :-)
@darkside: I think we may be related...sounds just like my fam!
glad to see you in the comments
Man this was funny. He was really getting down with that microphone. He sounded like that woman really traumatized him.
He put the soul into it right? haha
This is funny! He is serious too! And the man's commentary...to much.
I know---he's says "in case you thought this video was un pc", then goes on to say "The big fat woman gets the last laugh" What? lol
