Giancarlo Esposito is 50. Still sexy as hayell.
Giancarlo has made some great ones, and he has made some clunkers, but he is never, ever boring. I think my favorite performance by him was in "Fresh", as a New York Spanish drug dealer. He always seems to play a detective these days...
There are no clips of "Fresh" online (unfortunately). So here is one of some movie I never heard of until today called "The Box", with him and Gabrielle Union. It is from Code Black, the company that seems to release 2 Black films a week, all straight to DVD material.
It looks perfectly awful; we will add this to Giancarlo's "clunker" category:

His early role as Bro All-Mi-T was a classic in School Daze, although I enjoyed his recurring role in Homicide:Life on the Streets as well...

@anon: there was one film that I saw him in called "Rain" and he was NOT looking like the Giancarlo that I know and love---he must've been going thru a rough patch...
IW - I didn't see many of the shows when they came on primetime network television. I've seen pretty much the entire series from the pilot to the last show in syndication. It is an outstanding series ... sorta 'The Wire' of its day. Well worth the investment of your time over the coming years. Do you have Netflix service?
Oddly enough, this past weekend I saw the final two episodes of The Practice. That was a show I used to like a lot as well...

In my best "Men of Films" voice; hated it! I remember that night I saw it & the weather. I was bored & pissed off at the same time. I even trued to get a refund because I thought it sucked.

BTW, I used to hate Giancarlo because of his role in School Daze, he played the role too good. I as I matured I appreciated his craft. He is a good actor!

@bygbaby: really? I always really like that movie (fresh)--but I guess I could see why someone wouldn't like it--it was a bit depressing.
