Saw this on one of my fellow bloggers Seth Fine's site "freshplays". Tasha Smith, who played the hoojetta wife from hell in "Why Did I Get Married?" is set to play Donna Summer (luv her!) in an upcoming biopic.
Just like I said about the Wendy Williams/Robin Givens biopic, this is going to be really, really good, or really, really bad--no middle ground. From what I can tell tho, her wigs are ready to roll!

I can definitely see that, I'm just happy to see her in a leading role, and not as a cliche.
She does the sas thing so well - can't wait to see her in this movie.
I kept thinking she was the woman who is one CSI Miami...oh well...

At least the physical part is working thus far, we'll have to wait and see the rest.
She does look like Khandi Alexander (the woman who is on CSI Miami) and she does also resemble Donna. I haven't seen her do a real stretch of acting, so it will be intersting to see how it will turn out.
I think this chick could nail it. Count me in to see this film!
I want to see it too...hopefully it won't be another "Glitter"!
