Nice....

The U.S. Postal Service took their heads outta their ass** for a minute and finally did something useful. There will be a collection of stamps coming out celebrating Black Cinema, and they're beautiful.

Stamps include Josephine Baker's "Princess Tam Tam", and other very early Black Cinema like "The Sport of The Gods" written by classic black author Paul Laurence Dunbar, and Louis Jordan in "Caldonia". I could not reproduce the images here, there was some sort of block, but they'll be out soon.

On a side note, for Black History this month and every day of the year, check out "On This Date In Black History-Black African American History Facts" on my blogroll.

Absolutely love Josephine Baker and her story, totally hate how she was treated and how kids today have no clue who she was.

HEY YALL: I want you to know the picture I used is not one of the actual stamps...they are more colorful and cartooney like, tho to use the picture in this post would have been nice. You have to go the the USPS website to view them, and since I hate the USPS I didn't want to link, haha.

@DC: You are such as sweetie pie. I love you coming around and leaving comments...I'm so glad you like my blog :-)
