Okay, we all knew the real deal about what when on in the GA with Katt, though not too many wanted to say it: straight cracka-docia moves.

Now I see this sh*t, with the ultra-bailing perm. This latest mugshot is even more disturbing than the last one. A negro that keeps his perm fresh at all times that doesn't bother to get a touch up in weeks? All signs point to not good at all...please Katt, come back up and recognize the gifts God gave you, before we have another Pryor on our hands.

While the rest of the world is trying to figure out if Oprah really wears a weave (she says no), or why your cousins minstreled it up to the highest power over some Popeye's for Earth Day (hilarious post!) and for some KFC last week, and why any type of moisture whatsoever is kryptonite to Gary Coleman (see picture above), Ms. Invisible tries to stay sane through the arts, but even I have succumbed a bit. But even as I try to stay afloat these days, please believe that I will never, ever, be as crazy as this chick right here:



Because of the changes I have been navigating, I wanted to be fair and let folks know what is going on. When I started this blog, I compiled a 'Negro Justice League' of bloggers, which consisted of me (of course), Undercover Black Man, Afronerd, PurpleZoe, and Supernegro, with Just Judith as our loyal Gal Friday. Well, two folded up their capes to do wonderful things; Supernegro aka Jeffrey L. Wilson, also a tech writer, went off to write a book, and Undercover Black Man, aka David Mills, just shut down shop to write with David Simon (The Wire) on a new HBO show that was greenlit called "Treme" (watch for it next year, read about it HERE).


Anyhoo, I thought about taking their route. If you want to be strong and leave the blogosphere, it is almost like quitting drugs, honestly. But I am not able to do it cold turkey. I love and enjoy my readers too much, and y'all know I love talking about film too much. So rather than have you guys keep checking for a new post that isn't there, I will be going on hiatus with this blog for an extended period.

Thank you to the readers that have encouraged me to keep it open and not shut down-- specifically the wonderful commenters, those who have started "following" my blog even in the absence of fresh posts, and my amazing brother and sister bloggers--big up to 4 of them who all gave me a "SPLASH AWARD" (yes 3 separate ones! see the award pic above) in the past 2 weeks--Professor Tracey of "Aunt Jemima's Revenge", Ms. Marvalus of "Opinionated Black Woman" and "Conversations With Marva" (who ALWAYS has my back through thick and thin!), and Aaron and Alaine from "A Political Season". All of these bloggers are super-duper intelligent Negroes on every level, so it was quite the honor, to say the least.

But fear not, while I am away from this blog, I will be contributing to another wonderful Black Cinema blog--"Shadow And Act". It is collaboration of me, Tambay Obenson from "The Obenson Report", my beloved Sergio from Ebony/Jet, and my Black Cinema comrades of "Must Love Movies", "Black Film Academy" and "The Black Box Office". Please join us daily over there, because unlike me, there are some overachievers there that actually have the nerve to post more than once a day, every day. Can you imagine?


Keep those martinis flowing... and stay woke! :-)

Questions....

Okay, so I watched Katt William's "It's Pimpin Pimpin" last night. What is UP with that dude? He is so smart, and funny, and charismatic, but seems to go off the deep end in real life at an alarming rate (i.e. being committed by his family the other day). Disturbing. Is it a mixture of drugs that puts these celebs in the hospital/"retreats" for "exhaustion" and "dehydration", or just one big super-duper hellacious drug? I need answers, stat....

Who knew Condi Rice could look like this? Not me, that for sure.


Speaking of looks, is this really shit talking blogger Sandra Rose? Suddenly her extreme and obsessive hatorade on Beyonce and Ciara makes complete and total sense.

Why am I absolutely not feeling Daniel Craig as James Bond? At all. He looks positively simian, with zero sex appeal (to me anyway). They broke the mold after Sean Connery, who had the swagger of fifty 007's. Bring on Clive Owen!


Was anyone surprised that Wanda Sykes came out as a lesbian? Not I.


Did you know Timbaland was producing movies? From The Hollywood Reporter:

Music producer Timbaland, born Tim Mosley, is making his first foray into Hollywood as executive producer of the upcoming feature “Vinyl.”

Timbaland’s Mosley Media Group is teaming with Effie T. Brown’s Duly Noted Inc. to produce the film, which follows five young women facing life-altering decisions about their relationships with members of a rock band.

Writer-director Richard Zelniker’s film is set to begin shooting in the spring, with Brown, Marcus Spence and Timbaland’s wife, Monique Idlett-Mosley producing.

The Mosleys plans to promote the film with behind-the-scenes content designed for mobile devices.

Milk Carton Alert!

I couldn't sleep last night, so at 2am I caught an old episode of "New York Undercover". Yes Malik Yoba's lips were semi-ash free then, but in this particular story was Tyrin Turner. What the eff happened to him?

He broke out in "Menace To Society", which, very coincidentally, happens to be on BET tonight. He was in "Panther" and "Belly", then....nothing. I looked up his profile and saw that he had an uncredited role in "How High". Damn, not only are you in "How High", but you are uncredited too? SMH.

All I know is between Malik Yoba's chap and Tyrin's innertube lips, I could barely concentrate on last night's storyline, haha.

Can Somebody PLEASE Help This Fool?

Okay, this ish is now oficially out of control. I write about him cause he has made some cameos in some very, very low budget black films that will probably never be mentioned on this blog.

Can somebody please, please, please, PLEASE donate to the Gary Coleman fund? He is now selling his "Gap Kids" pants on E-Bay (bid now at $20.53)....he is one step away from being found nekkid and dead next to an empty bottle of Percocet and some weird shameful sex toy.

At least help Gary moisturize his situation and rid him of "the crack-level ash" as darkbrotha would say.
